My name is Maria Ivanova. I was born in 1982 in a small town called Kavarna placed 2,5 km far from the sea. To me my home town keeps a lot of memories. Every corner, every bench, street and the vast sea bring me peace and quite happiness every time I return there - the place I spent my childhood.
At the moment I live in the sea capitol of Bulgaria - Varna. Here I have graduated from high school and college and I continue living and working. I had the privilege to study in Fifth Language School to which I owe my knowledge of two foreign languages - English and German. My subject (specialty) is tourism. Working with tourists gives me great satisfaction and pleasure.
I can define myself as a communicative person because I love people and I think that each person is beautiful and unique in its own way. I have never met people who are „bad” to me or perhaps I instinctively avoid them because I continue to believe that everybody is looking for the good in the others. Most of the time you will see me smile – the smile inherited by my mother. A person once told me that was the most precious thing about me. That is what I can give you - my smile and pieces of art.
Friends like Zdravka, Iskra, Antonia, Yoana, Eli, Rado, Mitko, Toni, Ilian, Jivko, my brother Boris, my cousins Stanislav and Margita and my family are my life. What is a man without friends? I am happy that I have my friends and the greatest family on earth. I love you all!
My hobby and I hope some day something more is photography. I am making pictures for five years now, trying to learn all alone, you will say how well I have done. There was nobody I can lean on and learn about the composition, exposure, resolution, blends or speed, about which method to use to emphasize the main element of the composition. With a little bit of reading and more practice I managed to reach a certain level – such so I can dare to show my work in this site and you estimate the rest yourselves. Don’t be shy to give your opinion of my photos and ask me what interests you.
How I have started? I decided to make something like a photo-session of my friend and room-mate Zdravka with a plane film camera. She became my first and permanent photo model :). Thank you :)! I also want to thank my friend Toni. With the camera Zenith he let me use I made my first attempts of professional shots. Those pictures now are of great value for me. And almost unnoticeably I started making pictures (I got a Praktika camera) and I made quite a collection. When I heard the possibility that I can put some of my pictures on photo-forum.net I started scanning my pictures and after slight corrections where needed (that’s how I got my experience in Photoshop) I put most of my pictures there. My old pictures there are already gone but you can see some in my new profile there - mi_Molina. Now I have a new digital camera Lumix Panasonic Z5 with 12 x optical zoom and 5 megapixels, which gave me more freedom to experiment and express myself.
